Deltoid (DAPS) and Axillary Protectors (AXI)
The BCS Deltoid (DAPS) and Axillary Protectors (AXI) components provide for additional protection from fragmentary and projectiles to the upper arm and underarm areas with the correct soft armor inserts. These features allow the individual protection to meet mission threat conditions. Current combat operations are experiencing the extensive use of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) by terrorist insurgents. The Deltoid DAPS and AXI protectos provide the shortfall in the upper arm and under arm areas not currently covered by the main body armor system. To meet this threat and to provide an increased level of protection, DAPS was developed. DAPS consists of two ambidextrous modular components, the Deltoid (upper arm) Protector and the Axillary (under arm) Protector. The Deltoid Protector attaches at the shoul-der of the BCS I OTV and is secured around the wearer's arm with a strap. The Axillary Protector is worn under the BCS I OTV and is attached to the underside of the shoulder portion of the OTV and to the interior adjustment strap on the lower side of the OTV. BCS Deltoid (DAPS) and Axillary Protectors (AXI) are available in Multicam,Ranger Green,Coyote, Khaki and Black. The protectors support the IBA OTV soft armor inserts.

AK47 Chest Rig Design
The AK47 Chest rig has not had a major redesign for years. Most the AK47 chest rigs support 3 to 6 mags. The 6 magazine design is usually a double stack pouch and once one magazine is removed the other gets really sloppy.
The advances in chest rig design have mostly taken place around the 5.56 magazine used by US and NATO forces until now. BCS has designed a AK47 chest rig that supports 5 AK magazines in a low profile design with an expanse of molle across the front of the rig. This design allows the operator to have a combat load of 6 magazines.
The redesign of the AK47 chest rig is part of the transformation of the AK47 weapon system. There are many companies that are taking the AK47 to levels never seen before. One of those companies is Bravo18.

A new AK47 chest rig
AK47 chest rig choices have been somewhat limited for AK-47 users. So we decided to design a rig dedicated to the AK. Several manufacturers make chest rigs that are somewhat universal. Often these universal rigs don’t work well with the curved shape of the AK mags or hang up on the locking tab located on the back of the mag. Our new rig will at the very least, give AK users another choice.
The AK47 chest rig is a very simple and basic design. It is a means to carry 5 mags and with a three rows of molle across the expanse of the rig for attachment. The mags are retained via elastic bungee loops and over- sized pull taps that offer great retention and speedier access than flaps. A rear pocket also allows for storage of additional items.
