The Saiga 12 shotgun is built on the famous AK-47 action that has been proven by years of very reliable combat action and now finally there is a Saiga 12 chest rig to support the mags.
The Beez Combat Systems design team worked with a variety of Saiga 12 manufactures, LE groups and Saiga 12 user to design build the BCS Saiga 12 chest rig to make a simple, effective and low-profile chest rig for this weapon system.
These mags are very long especially as you move up to the 10 and 12 round mags. During the design and test we identified that three mags was a good number. A total of three on the chest and one in the weapon could provide up to 40 rounds of shotgun using 10 round mags.When a fourth mag pouch was added to the chest rig it made the chest rig too wide and very difficult to extract the larger 8,10 and 12 mags.
During the testing we tried an elastic pull-tab and webbing velcro mag retention system to determine which mag retention system worked best for the 8,10 and 12 mags. The webbing velcro retention system worked best.
This rig has molle across the expanse of the rig. The Saiga 12 chest rig does have three rows 8 columns of molle for the attachment of additional pouches. This makes the chest rig more versatile and scalable. Just like on all the BCS chest rig there is a rear pocket for the storage of additional items.
The Saiga 12 chest rig is available in Multicam, Coyote, Ranger Green, Khaki, Black and SURPAT.
